Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Teacher to join our educational team. This role involves developing and implementing engaging lesson plans, managing classroom dynamics, and providing individualized support to students with varying abilities. The Teacher will play a crucial role in promoting academic success and personal growth among students.
Duties
- Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards.
- Manage classroom behavior and create a supportive learning environment.
- Provide individualized instruction to students with special needs, including those with developmental disabilities and autism.
- Conduct assessments and utilize data to inform instructional practices.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to support student learning and development.
- Participate in the development of Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) for students requiring special education services.
- Incorporate technology into lessons to enhance learning experiences.
- Facilitate literacy and math education through engaging activities.
- Support early childhood education initiatives for young learners.
- Utilize various teaching methodologies, including Montessori and recreational therapy, to meet diverse learning styles.
- Engage in continuous professional development to enhance instructional skills.
Skills
- Strong background in curriculum development and lesson planning.
- Experience working with children, including those with disabilities or special needs.
- Proficient in classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies.
- Knowledge of speech therapy, music therapy, behavioral therapy, and applied behavior analysis is a plus.
- Familiarity with literacy education, math instruction, early intervention strategies, and developmental milestones.
- Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Ability to mentor students and provide academic advising as needed.
- Experience in proofreading educational materials and preparing students for standardized testing.
