Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned that pertain to this classification.
- Assist EHS Manager with environmental monitoring and testing.
- Perform grounds maintenance.
- Safe operation of powered industrial trucks.
- Assist EHS Manager in observing and reporting that all work being performed is in in compliance with all EPA, Hazmat, and OSHA regulations.
- Record research or operational data.
- Calibrate and set up scientific or technical equipment.
- Collect environmental data or samples.
- Inspect areas for compliance with sanitation standards.
- Assist EHS Coordinator, preapproved by EHS Manager in auditing corrective actions for completion, other tasks.
- Support and assist in Operations and CI tasks as requested.
Education and Experience:
- High School Graduate or equivalent
Knowledge:
- Mechanical - Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, and maintenance in regard to industrial hygiene.
- Engineering and Technology - Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology.
- English Language - Knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar.
- Law and Government - Knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures, precedents, government regulations, executive orders, agency rules, and the democratic political process.
Skills:
- Operation Monitoring - Observe gauges, dials, or other indicators to ensure machinery or other engineering controls are working properly.
- Troubleshooting – Use field equipment to determine a malfunction or issue with machinery or engineering controls.
- Quality Control Analysis - Conduct inspections of products or processes to evaluate quality or performance.
- Reading Comprehension- Reading work-related information.

The performance of this position normally requires exposure to typical manufacturing areas that require the use of personal protective equipment: Steel toed shoes, Safety Glasses, PAPR, Face shield, gloves, and hearing protection.
Primary environment: Temperature of work area may be affected by outside temperatures and machining. Short term exposure of temperatures up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit. Industrial lighting provided.
