Instrumentation Technician

Position Summary:

Instrumentation Technician is a team member responsible for scheduled and emergency instrumentation and electrical activities on production and operating equipment, including the buildings and grounds.

Position Requirements:

• Minimum two years industrial instrumentation experience in manufacturing environment.
• Experience troubleshooting and repair of control circuits and calibration of control instruments required.
• Industrial Electrical experience considered a plus.
• Experience working with CMMS database system strongly preferred.
• Experience in food grade or pharmaceutical grade industrial facility strongly preferred.
• Strong mathematical, creative problem solving and technical reasoning skills required.
• Proven ability to communicate effectively with multiple stakeholders
• Time management skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• Motivation to learn and develop into lead roles

General Job Duties:

• Analyze, troubleshoot and repair instrumentation of automated equipment including, but not limited to, Programmable Logic Controllers, motors and other electrical equipment, flow meters, electrical trace, and building wiring.
• Record and maintain database on equipment information, preventative and regular maintenance and repairs as per quality programs and SOP's.
• Required to carry pager as scheduled; available for emergency call-ins and overtime as needed.
• Make recommendations for repair, replacement, and/or improvements to equipment, process, and/or procedure.

• Make constructive and creative suggestions for improvements and cost savings.

Hours:

• Base work schedule is Monday thru Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm with overtime as needed for business necessity. Evenings and weekends may be necessary due to business needs.
• Will carry pager one weekend per month on average.
• Position wage will range from $30.03 - 31.93 per hour depending on qualifications and meeting training levels, paid weekly. Quality Requirements:

Minimal facial hair, minimal makeup, no jewelry, false fingernails, nail polish, hair extensions, wigs, toupees, cologne or perfume. Long hair must be tied up for safety reasons. Facility is a non-smoking, non-tobacco facility.
