Position: Quality Assurance Electrical Inspector
Schedule: 4x10, Monday-Thursday
This position is located at the Bayou La Batre, AL facility.

Key Responsibilities
- Assistwarehouse personnel with receiving inspections of raw materials, components, consumables, and equipment from vendors and subcontractors.
- Conduct generator, switchboard, console, junction box, motor controller, switch/circuit breaker box, cable way, penetration, cable clamp, and cabling installation inspections.
- Conduct ground checks and cable insulation, continuity, and voltage drop tests.
- Verify battery charger and UPS connectivity and charging capacities.
- Verify electronic connections, cooling properties, and prevention of electro-magnetic interference instances.
- Perform witnessed inspections and tests with customers, USCG representatives, and ABS certification authorities.
- Document findings in drawing redlines, cabling andone linediagrams, wiring schematics, and test reports.
- Fill out non-conforming product forms and recommend corrective activities.
- Learn and communicate the key tenants of the Quality Management System (QMS).
Qualifications and experience
- High School degree or GED preferred.
- Certified Marine Electrician/Electronics Technician with 3 to 5 years of experience in the ship/boat building industry.
- Must be able to read blueprints, material test reports, and audit electrical/electronic vendors andsubcontractorsand production personnel.
- Must be able to set upowntest equipment and writeinspectionand test reports.
- Excellent math skills with the ability to read linear distance measuring devices and learn standard survey techniques for conducting dimensional control activities.
- Ability tooperatepowered equipment safely andcomply withall safety standards.
- Demonstrate strong workethic,good communicationskills, and work well with others.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
- Must be able to stand, bend, stoop, squat or kneel regularly, as well as climb stairs and ladders and enter confined spaces to complete tasks.
