Blade Operator

Position Summary:

Bituminous Roadways, Inc. (BR) is a growing, award-winning, and established union highway/heavy contractor looking for a Blade Operator to join our team. 

Our main office is located in Mendota Heights, MN. BR also has plant locations in Inver Grove Heights, Shakopee, Columbus, and Minneapolis.

Key Responsibilities:

Reasonable accommodations made be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. 

• Fully understand the controls and functions of the blade.
• Operate all controls and functions in a safe and non-abusive manner.
• Communication via 2-way radio.
• Achieve acceptable rough and finish grade in all types of soils and conditions.
• Read and understand grades on stakes.
• Other tasks as assigned.
• Familiar with daily equipment inspections and maintenance
• Capable of grading slopes

Preferred Experience/Education:

• Experience in heavy highway construction with an emphasis in finish blade operations
• GPS experience - a plus
• Valid driver license

Other Requirements:

All candidates are required to pass a thorough Background Check, Physical and Drug Test.  References will also be checked.
