SUMMARY: Responsible for maintaining staffing levels for assigned departments, including recruitment, applicant screening, interviews, offers and onboarding processes.
Essential Responsibilities and Duties: (Specific areas of responsibility including, but not limited to)
- Creates and maintains requisitions within the applicant tracking system.
- Reviews applications within the applicant tracking system and makes available qualified applicants to respective Managers for review.
- Professionally communicates with applicants on the status of their application.
- Schedules interviews for both internal and external candidates; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
- Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
- On-boards new hires and transfers by administering proper paperwork and obtaining employment references.
- Collects and inspects proper documentation as required by the USCIS for employment verification through the E-Verify system.
- Performs drug and alcohol tests for pre-employment requirements and other tests as assigned.
- Responsible for creating and maintaining Team Member files within the electronic file system.
- Represents Black Oak Casino Resort at recruiting events on and off property as well as internal TM events.
- Performs data entry in Human Resources Information System.
- Performs clerical functions, composes communication including social media, letters, memos, posters, reports, etc.
- Processes internal requests for interview and transfers.
- Maintains tracking logs for monthly reporting.
- Answers routine inquiries regarding general Human Resources information for both internal and external Guests.
- Provides excellent guest service to external and internal Guests.
- Provides support and coverage for other functional areas of Human Resources as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old.
- Must possess a high school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year’s experience in Human Resources or recruiting preferred.
- Must possess and maintain a valid California driver license and have the ability to obtain a Black Oak Casino driver’s permit.
- Must possess working knowledge of computer programs and applications.
- Must possess excellent communication and writing skills.
- Must be able to maintain the highly confidential nature of Human Resource work.
- Must be able to communicate and work effectively with applicants and Team Members.
- Must be able to obtain a valid gaming license.
- Must be able to pass a mandatory drug test.
- Must provide evidence of employment eligibility in the U.S.
- Must be able to communicate proficiently in English.
Physical Demands:
- Must be physically able to perform all job requirements.
- Must be able to lift at least 25 pounds and occasionally more with assistance.
Work Environment:
- Must be able to work in a non-smoke free environment.
- Must be able to work in a noisy environment.
- Must be able to work all shifts, weekends, holidays, and special events.
