TITLE: Inventory Control Supervisor

DEPARTMENT: Operations

REPORTING TO: General Manager/Site Manager

SHIFT: Monday-Friday 8:00 am-4:30 PM (Subject to Change due to business needs)

Description:

We’re looking for a creative thinker who doesn’t mind sharing their ideas and implementing new strategies to benefit the business. Previous experience in B2B and B2C third-party logistics is essential.

Duties and Responsibilities:

The Inventory Control Supervisor will assist site Inventory Control and Operations Leadership in assessing inventory inaccuracies and recommending corrective action necessary to support continuous process improvement and operational excellence.

Additional Duties and Responsibilities:

· Ensuring the right product is in the right place at the right time to meet customer demand and maintain service level agreements as outlined in the customer contracts

· Improve overall inventory accuracy, accountability and reporting achieved by ensuring best practice process and procedures are in place

· Minimize and mitigate risk exposure to Bleckmann and the client by improving the focus on inventory control and its financial benefits ensuring accurate accounting for our client’s assets

· Responsible for ensuring adherence to Inventory Control KPI outlined in the customer agreement are met.

Required Qualifications

Knowledge, skills & abilities:

· Manage the planning and execution of proactive cycle counts in accordance with the higher of internal policy or contractual service level compliance

· Manage the execution of reactive cycle counts for specified process exceptions in accordance with

contractual service level compliance

· Direct a structured problem-solving approach that results in the continuous improvement of inventory

accuracy and established goals through:

o Support and enhance the operation by applying influence and knowledge of inventory control best practices and the impacts to the business

o Root cause analysis of inventory errors with identification of the most critical process failures

o Evaluation of the effectiveness of actions taken

· Design and generate appropriate reporting to track:

o Inventory accuracy and shrink compliance with contractual service levels

o Variance root cause trends

· Maintain thorough knowledge of internal and customer systems in order to provide extensive support

to the operational team as well as the customer for inventory and production-related issues

· Ensure proper identification and repackaging of the damaged product with regard to disposal or the return to inventory as damaged merchandise.

· Processes SKU changes for products to ensure accurate units are tied to the correct SKU

· Provide input on proper Value Added Services and placement of items in or back into Inventory

Minimum Qualifications:

· Bachelors degree or equivalent experience of 4 years in the logistics industry and team supervision

· Knowledge of WMS operating systems like Red Prairie or Manhattan, etc.

· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, with a heavy emphasis on Excel

· Solid written and verbal communication skills with attention to the audience

· Understanding of inventory control and its financial and operational impacts

· Strong, collaborative people skills

· Operations experience

· Experience with Manhattan WMS, DMPLUS, SAP, etc.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
