As we grow, we are looking to expand our freelance network with experienced, self-motivated landscape designers to support ongoing and upcoming projects on a contract basis.
Position Summary
We are seeking a talented freelance Landscape Designer to develop conceptual and technical design packages. You’ll work directly with our in-house design team and project managers to deliver visuals, plans, and documentation that bring each client’s vision to life.
Responsibilities
- Create landscape design concepts based on client goals, site constraints, and project scope
- Produce 2D site plans, planting plans, and layout drawings
- Develop 3D renderings or visual presentations (SketchUp, Lumion, etc. preferred)
- Collaborate with in-house team to integrate design into construction scope
- Revise plans based on client feedback or city/HOA requirements
- Deliver complete design sets ready for handoff to construction or permitting team
- Maintain organized project files and meet project timelines
Qualifications
- 2 years of experience in residential or commercial landscape design
- Proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Lumion, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent
- Strong plant knowledge, especially for North Texas climate (preferred)
- Ability to work independently and manage deadlines
- Degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, or related field preferred
- Portfolio or sample work required with application
Compensation
- Hourly pay: $35–$60 , depending on experience and skillset
- Flexible workload (project-based)
- Fully remote or hybrid collaboration (local site visits optional)
