Position Title: Quality Engineer
Reports To: Quality Manager
Location: Tanner, Alabama
POSITION SUMMARY:
Bocar US has an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer. The Quality Engineer will be responsible for quality related activities during the launch of new products including gage list, control plan, acceptance criteria, and PFMEA updating and review. Responsible for training employees in customer specifications and new testing methods. Responsible for completing and uploading PPAP packages on time and responding to and investigating customer concerns, Employee will also perform data collection and reporting of relevant KPI’s.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Coordinate the priorities for material boarding in the inspection lines coordinating the quantities and parts' shipment dates with the Logistics, Production and Engineering areas to send the material to customers properly and on time.
- Responsible for PPAP submission of new products
- Support in the evaluation and impact of engineering changes in the pre-production 6 months phase.
- Coordinate, measurement and analysis of new product.
- Support in the development of new products and processes being launch to production. Ongoing feedback to Industrialization.
- Project transfer to plant for mass production
REQUIREMENTS (including educational requirements)
- Must have a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or other related discipline required.
- Must have a minimum of 2 years of progressive experience.
- Quality Experience 4 yrs
- Automotive manufacturing Experience 4 years
- Quality Core tools Experience 4 years
- Die Casting Experience 1 year
- PCP Experience 1 year
- Must be results oriented
- Effective problem-solving abilities
- Must have excellent communication skills
- Good knowledge of program and process standards, tools and methods.
- Problem solving techniques
- Analytical capabilities
