- Ensure that rebuild items (such as spare shafts, dryer rolls, gear boxes, valves, and cylinders) that are used on their shift get made up and relaced
- Review all work orders for maintenance work completed on shift and add amplifying comments as needed to communicate to following shifts and to the Maint Supt.
- Assist crew members performing difficult and / or dangerous jobs.
- Study all machinery and operations & maintenance manuals and understand what the machinery is supposed to do and how to determine whether or not it is operating properly.
- Conduct new employee orientations and periodic performance reviews during their 90-day probationary period.
- Ensure that crew employees are aware of, understand, and follow all company policies and procedures.
- Conduct monthly safety training for crew.
- Complete time sheets and simplex reviews daily.
- Complete all required paperwork neatly and accurately and submit on time.
