What are the responsibilities and job description for the Day Shift Machine Operator position at Bongards' Creameries?
Bongards Premium Cheese is looking for a dedicated, dynamic and energetic individual to perform as a Machine Operator on one of our processed cheese lines.
Job duties:
- Operation of various types of machines (could include wrapper, boxer, casting line, filler type machines)
- Monitor the quality of the boxes and pouches and communicate to other operators.
- Ensure cheese packages are made correctly and properly recorded.
- Keep immediate work area neat and in order.
- Work in a safe and efficient manner.
- Must report all food safety and quality concerns to immediate supervisor or their designated replacement.
- All other duties as assigned by the supervisor or lead.
Other requirements:
- Must demonstrate excellent communication skills.
- Must demonstrate a commitment to both employee and food safety.
- Must be able to follow both written and verbal instructions.
Physical capabilities:
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs. occasionally
- Must be able to lift 5 lbs. frequently
