What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Respiratory Therapist, Respiratory Resp Therapy - Full time position at Borinquen Medical Center?
Responsible for providing pulmonary care to critical, non-critical, and chronically ill adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients under physician supervision.
- Conducts patient assessments and implements respiratory care plans.
- Performs technical procedures such as airway management, ventilator setup, aerosolized drug delivery, blood gas analysis, and EKG analysis.
- Responds to emergencies (Code Blue/White) and manages airway devices, BiPAP, and CPAP equipment.
- Participates in quality surveys and may serve as Shift or Team Leader.
- Advanced skills include pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, and transport.
- Requires NBRC RRT license, BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with 1-3 years of experience preferred.
- Full-time position with schedule to be determined.
