Job Description
As the Purchasing Intern, you will gain hands-on experience supporting key purchasing and quality initiatives, with opportunities to collaborate across departments including Engineering, Quality, and Materials.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with identifying and coordinating cost-saving initiatives and continuous improvement efforts
- Support the Purchasing and Quality teams, as well as internal stakeholders, by providing data analysis, documentation, and process updates.
- Maintain and update cost-tracking summaries; ensure accurate communication with relevant team members.
- Conduct audits of purchase orders (back details and communication)
- Help maintain compliance documents within the purchasing master list.
- Coordinate sample parts with the Manufacturing and Engineering teams.
- Support engineering change processes and engineering-to-order activities.
- Collaborate with the Materials team on ongoing and upcoming projects.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a college or university, or a recent graduate, pursuing a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Operations, or a related field
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; advanced Excel skills required
- Strong interpersonal skills with an emphasis on communication, collaboration, and active listening
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and thrive in a fast-paced environment
