Our client, a Boston-based law firm, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Intellectual Property Administrator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the docketing system for intellectual property matters, ensuring timely filings, compliance with deadlines, and maintaining accurate records. Your expertise will be vital in supporting our legal and intellectual property teams to safeguard and manage our valuable intellectual assets.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain and update the intellectual property docketing system, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, ensuring all deadlines are met.
- Monitor and track critical deadlines for filings, renewals, and responses to office actions, alerting team members as necessary.
- Input and maintain accurate records of IP filings, correspondence, and status updates in the docketing system.
- Work closely with attorneys, paralegals, and external counsel to gather and provide necessary information for filings and deadlines.
- Generate regular reports on the status of intellectual property matters, providing updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and firm policies regarding intellectual property management.
- Assist in training new staff on docketing processes and best practices.
- Identify opportunities to improve docketing processes and implement enhancements to increase efficiency.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field (law, business, or intellectual property).
- Minimum of 3 years experience in intellectual property adminsitration or related legal support roles.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Familiarity with patent and trademark processes and terminology is preferred.
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000
