Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Sterile Processing Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the proper cleaning, disinfection, and sterilization of medical equipment and instruments to maintain a safe and sterile environment for patients. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques, anatomy, and medical terminology, with the ability to manage inventory effectively.
Responsibilities
- Perform aseptic techniques to clean, disinfect, and sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
- Utilize anatomy knowledge to identify and process medical instruments and equipment.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of sterile processing procedures and protocols.
- Manage inventory of medical supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are maintained and equipment is properly maintained.
Requirements
-CRCST or CSPDT active certification.
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Certification in sterile processing or a related field preferred.
- Strong knowledge of sterile processing techniques and aseptic technique.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and anatomy.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems.
- Ability to lift and transport equipment and instruments as required.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA guidelines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
