Security Team Member

Summary:Performs protective and enforcement functions in coping with emergencies, undesired conduct, disturbances, and threats to welfare and property to maintain a safe and secure environment for all customers and staff.

Essential Functions / Responsibilities:

· Identify and access situations where security violations have occurred and takes reasonable and prudent action to enforce the rules, regulations, policies, and procedures of Boxcar Bar Arcade.

· Takes immediate and decisive action against actions and situations which may cause injury to customers and staff or injury to property

· Documents and reports any irregularities, incidents, or emergency actions concerning safety and security

· Understands and adheres to Boxcar Bar Arcade’s Conflict Management and Use of Force policies

· Interfaces with local law enforcement as situations require

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent

· Minimum of two years related experience

· General knowledge of security methods and procedures

· Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds

· Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions

· Good judgement and the ability to make timely and sound decisions

· Strong interpersonal skills

· Bilingual is a plus

· Prior military or law enforcement is a plus

Physical demands:

Occasionally required to lift/push/carry items over 100lbs

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
