Boyne City Public Schools is seeking a full-time, year-round Custodial Cleaner.This position is for 40 hours/week: In the summertime, this position works the day shift; during the school year, it is assigned to the afternoon shift. The position includes full family benefits if needed.

- Ability to communicate with others, inform them of changing situations, and ask questions when situations arise that you need help with on the job.
- High School diploma or GED certificate.
Performance Responsibilities:
- Assists the maintenance personnel as needed while they perform their duties.
- The position will entail general cleaning, lifting, minor building maintenance, and repair, generally associated with custodial work.
- Monitor building security and safety by performing such tasks as unlocking doors at designated times and locking doors after operating hours.
- Follow procedures for using chemical cleaners and power equipment to prevent damage to floors, fixtures, and individuals.
- Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors.
- Assisted building personnel with daily needs, including setup/takedown/clean up and daily activity/event preparations.
- Assist staff and visiting public in utilizing school facilities with directions within the building or in obtaining and setting up needed equipment and/or materials.
- Other duties as assigned or requested
