What are the responsibilities and job description for the Snowmaker position at Boyne Resorts?
Join our Snowmaking Team and participate in preparing Brighton for the winter 2023/2024 ski season! Our Snowmakers will operate snowmaking equipment to ensure we have a solid base for the season and assist with early season condition preparations. This is a job where you will be outside and all over the mountain for long periods of time. Come and see what we do behind the scenes to get Brighton ready for winter fun.
Due to the nature of our snowmaking season, we do require 7 days a week availability with rotating days off.
We run three 9-hour shifts over 24 hours:
- Day Shift 7:30 am- 4:00 pm
- Swing Shift 3:30 pm-12:00 am
- Graveyard Shift 11:30 pm- 8:00 am
This is a great way to earn a season pass or make extra money before the ski season begins.
Responsibilities
- Setting up, turning on, moving, monitoring, and shutting down all snowmaking equipment
- Conduct visual inspections and routine maintenance of snow guns and hoses
- Operate vehicles/snow machines safely
- Able to work outside in all weather conditions
Qualifications
- 18 years old
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted
- Valid Driver’s License
- Able to take initiate to complete needed tasks with and without direction
- Full availability during snowmaking season (including weekends and holidays)
