Senior Accountant
Location: Onsite in Lafayette, CO
Hourly Rate: $40 - $50/HR
Duration: 3-6 Months; Contract-to-Hire
We are actively working with an amazing company/brand in the food & beverage industry is looking to hire a new Senior Accountant to join their team on a contract to hire basis. This urgent hire is driven by continued company growth and increased operational demands. The Senior Accountant will be responsible for a variety of general accounting functions including balance sheet ownership for month-end close and revenue accounting. The ideal candidate has experience in a controls-based environment and in-depth GAAP experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with process improvements and implementation of a controls-based environment
- Ownership of monthly accounting and month-end close process of assigned balance sheet accounts and revenue accounting
- Complete journal entries, reconciliations, and support internal audits.
- Monthly financial statement review and preparation
- Support month-end reporting and analysis
- Perform technical accounting research as needed to assist the leadership team
- Assist with ad-hoc accounting requests, analysis, special projects and audits
MUST HAVE QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
- 4 years of accounting experience
- Experience in a controls-based environment with a month-end close process of 10 days or less
- Demonstrated ownership of various BS accounts, ideally Cash, Fixed Assets, and Inventory
- Experience with Revenue Accounting including multiple streams of revenue within one organization
- Excel: Intermediate - PTs and Lookups
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Public accounting experience
- CPA
- Experience with Inventory, Joint Venture or multi-entity accounting
- Experience with Point of Sale systems and integrating them into an ERP
- Experience with QuickBooks Online (QBO)
- Experience in the manufacturing and/or hospitality/restaurant industry
- Experience working in a restaurant
