$19.94 to $21.93 hourly. Actual salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications. Government Center/Viera. Work schedule is Monday through Friday 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.Performs experienced paraprofessional work planning, organizing, and coordinating projects relating to the development of County and/or community resources for the Road & Bridge Construction Division of the Public Works Department. Work includes reconciling and approving invoices for payment; entering financial data into work order management software and Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, charts, and graphs; monitoring and updating project schedules; opening and closing construction projects; running financial reports; and monitoring key performance measures to ensure annual goals are met.
REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, Contracts Management, Construction Management, a Public Works related field, or any closely related field. Additional qualifying education and/or experience may be substituted on a year for year basis. Experience utilizing Microsoft Project and Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, and graphs is preferred. Experience with construction and/or financial contracts is preferred.SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must possess, or obtain prior to employment, a valid Florida Driver's license and maintain said license during the term of employment. In the event of a hurricane, major storm, natural or man-made disaster that may threaten the area, the employee will be required to perform emergency duties as directed.
