- As a Health and Nursing Services Director (RN, you will oversee the nursing department, nursing managers, nurses, and CNAs.
- You will oversee the Nursing Department Education, ensure in-service trainings and competencies are compliant on aa monthly basis.
- You will make written and oral reports/recommendations to the Executive Director as necessary concerning the operations of the nursing department.
- Planning, developing, organizing, implementing the day-to-day functions of the nursing department as well as implementing policies and procedures in accordance with the governing rules.
Health and Nursing Services Director (RN) Qualifications:
- At least 2 years' experience as a Health/Nursing Services Director in a Specialized Mental Health Rehabilitation Facility (SMRHF) or a DON/ADON in a long-term care facility preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of nursing experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of Illinois in good standing.
- Familiarity with medical software and equipment (PointClickCare).
- Ability to build rapport with consumers, family and staff.
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
