Brighton Center, Inc. is a private non-profit community-based organization with the mission to create opportunities for individuals and families to reach self-sufficiency through family support services, education, employment, and leadership.
Purpose:
HIPPY (Home Instruction for Parents of Preschool Youngsters) believes parents are a child’s first teacher and every child should enter kindergarten prepared for school and ready to learn. Through the delivery of the HIPPY curriculum home visitors empower parents to build strong relationships with their children through activities and engagement that promote a love of learning.
Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain full caseload while providing weekly home visitation
- Develop positive communication with parents
- Encourage parent involvement in program
- Implement HIPPY curriculum
- Document services
- Provide resources and referrals to families
- Demonstrate cultural competency and commitment to diversity, racial equity, and inclusion
Requirements:
- Knowledge of parent-child interaction and child development
- Flexible schedule to meet the needs of families
- Reliable transportation and the ability to drive to home visits
- Basic computer skills

This is a non-exempt position with an hourly wage of $15.
