The Cook's Assistant will be responsible for supporting meal and snack preparation while ensuring a safe and clean kitchen environment at the Brightpoint Child and Family Center.
Candidate qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Basic skills in reading, writing, and budgeting required.
- At least one year of high-volume cooking experience required.
- Completion of Food Sanitation Program required, or the ability to complete within 90 days of hire.
- Demonstrated understanding of the nutritional needs of children and adults preferred.
Job details:
- Compensation: Range starts at $16.00/hr; offers are commensurate with experience.
- Benefits: Medical/dental/vision insurance, three scheduled weeks of paid time off each year (Spring, Summer, Winter), and additional flexible paid leave that accrues based on tenure; 11 paid holidays, supplemental insurance options, 401(k) with match, (more benefit details here).
- Location: Brightpoint Child & Family Center.
- Schedule: Full-time, hourly; shifts may vary.
- Student Loan Forgiveness: Brightpoint is an approved agency for Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF).
