Job Summary:
BrightStar Care is seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. As a Hospital Housekeeper, you will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment for patients, visitors, and staff. Your work directly supports the overall quality of care and infection control standards of our hospital.
Responsibilities:
- Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, operating rooms, and common areas according to hospital protocols.
- Dust, sweep, mop, vacuum, and disinfect surfaces as required.
- Remove trash, medical waste, and soiled linens using proper safety procedures.
- Restock supplies such as soap, paper towels, and toilet tissue.
- Respond to housekeeping requests from hospital staff promptly and courteously.
- Follow infection control and OSHA safety standards at all times.
- Report any safety hazards or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- CPR or BLS certification required.
- Prior housekeeping or janitorial experience in a healthcare or commercial setting is a plus.
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Knowledge of cleaning products and equipment use and safety.
- Physical stamina to stand, lift, bend, and move for extended periods.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Willingness to undergo background check and health screening.
