Plumber

Falcon Structures is seeking a Plumber experienced in commercial and residential to work in our growing manufacturing facility modifying repurposed shipping containers. Under general supervision, the Plumber will install plumbing into new construction and assist in other departments as necessary. This position starts as a temporary full-time position and converts to permanent full-time at 90 days.

Pay: $22-$26 per hour; overtime is possible, especially at the end of the month
Shifts:  Monday - Friday, 7:00 am - 3:45 pm & Tuesday - Saturday. 9:00 am - 5:45 pm

Duties & Responsibilities

• Installs pipes and fixtures such as sinks and toilets for water, gas, steam, air, or other liquids
• Installs supports for pipes, equipment, and fixtures prior to installation
• Assembles fittings and valves for installation
• Modifies length of pipes, fixtures, and other plumbing materials as needed for structure
• Installs water heaters
• Tests plumbing systems for leaks and other problems
• Analyzes problems and identifies appropriate tools and materials for repair
• May assist in installing windows, doors, framing, insulation, paneling, FRP, and trim

 Skills & Abilities

• 5-8 years of experience
• Able to work in extreme weather conditions
• Understanding of water distribution and disposal systems, preferably in modular structures
• Good knowledge of heating and ventilation systems as well as appliances
• Good understanding of shop drawings
• Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment (pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, plungers, etc.)
• Good communication and interpersonal skill
• Friendly, able to collaborate with others, and work on a team
• Has a learning mindset
• Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spaces
• Uses critical thinking and can troubleshoot
• Must be safety conscious
• Knowledge of different kinds of fixtures – pvc as well cast-iron pipes
