The Broken Sound Club has an immediate opening for an experienced Sushi Chef We are looking for a Sushi Chef that is energetic, passionate, and dedicated to providing the best sushi experience possible for our guests.
As a Sushi Chef, you are responsible for operating the Sushi section of the kitchen to deliver an excellent member experience. The ideal candidate will also be required to plan production and develop seasonal offerings based on the Club’s venues. Specifically, you will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standards:
- Operate the sushi section of the kitchen
- Ensure consistency in quality of dishes at all times
- coordinate all preparation and presentation in section
- Plan production to facilitate daily requirements
- Develop appropriate seasonal menu offerings
- Help to manage food cost controls & assist purchasing with selection of quality sushi fish
Qualifications
Minimum of 4 year of sushi chef experience required
Ability to maintain a professional and courteous demeanor during stressful and/or busy times
Must be able to work as part of a team and recognize the importance of each team member's role in the guest dining experience
Ability to prepare food for consumption with background knowledge of proper techniques and equipment to be used
Previous experience in the restaurant or hospitality industry required
Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time
Must be able to work different shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends
Must be able to work overtime as required
