Position Summary
BRJE is seeking a temporary, part-time or full-time Campaign Manager to lead a focused campaign to grow our membership base. Working in close collaboration with BRJE’s Program Coordinator and reporting to the Executive Director, the Campaign Manager will design and implement strategies to attract new members, strengthen our outreach presence, and engage the community through direct organizing, events, and marketing. This job requires on the ground organizing and direct contact with community members in-person as well as online.
This is an exciting opportunity for someone with strong grassroots organizing, communications, or campaign experience who is passionate about racial justice and movement building.
This is a contract position with no benefits.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a membership growth campaign that includes outreach, marketing, and event strategies.
- Collaborate with the Program Coordinator to align membership work with BRJE’s programs and initiatives.
- Conduct direct outreach via phone, email, social media, and in-person community engagement.
- Organize and support community events, house meetings, and other recruitment opportunities.
- Create accessible and compelling messaging and materials to attract a diverse and inclusive membership.
- Track progress toward membership goals and provide regular updates to the Executive Director.
- Engage and support existing members in peer-to-peer recruitment efforts.
Qualifications
- Passion for racial and social justice, community empowerment, and equity.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, especially across lines of difference.
- Experience with grassroots organizing, campaigns, community engagement, or outreach.
- Self-directed, organized, and comfortable working in a flexible and evolving environment.
- Ability to work some evenings or weekends depending on outreach opportunities.
- Familiarity with Brookline and/or the Greater Boston area is a plus.
- Fluency in a language other than English is a plus.
