Microsoft Teams Implementation Consultant

Job Type: 18 Month Contract
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Microsoft Teams Implementation Consultant to lead and support the deployment, configuration, and adoption of Microsoft Teams across our clients environment. The ideal candidate will possess deep knowledge of Microsoft 365 technologies, excellent communication skills, and experience delivering collaborative workplace solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end implementation of Microsoft Teams, including planning, configuration, integration, and user adoption strategies.
- Help migrate from Cisco Webex to Microsoft Teams
- Assess client environments to gather requirements, define use cases, and design tailored Teams deployment plans.
- Configure Teams settings, policies, channels, permissions, and integrations with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint, OneDrive, Exchange, etc.).
- Facilitate migration from legacy collaboration tools to Microsoft Teams, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, IT departments, and end users to ensure successful rollout and ongoing optimization.
- Provide troubleshooting, support, and post-implementation evaluations to address issues and optimize performance.
- Ensure Teams implementation complies with security, governance, and compliance requirements.
- Stay current with Microsoft updates and roadmap developments to provide proactive recommendations and improvements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience implementing Microsoft Teams in medium to large enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of Microsoft 365 ecosystem, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, and OneDrive for Business.
- Experience with Teams governance, security, compliance, and lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) and Teams extensibility is a plus.
- Solid project management skills, with ability to lead workshops, manage timelines, and coordinate with cross-functional teams.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Microsoft certifications (e.g., MS-700, Microsoft 365 Certified: Teams Administrator Associate) are highly desirable.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in hybrid or remote workplace transformation projects.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Teams Phone System, Direct Routing, or third-party integrations.
- Familiarity with change management frameworks and user adoption techniques (e.g., Prosci ADKAR).
Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
