What are the responsibilities and job description for the Barista position at Browns Orchards and Farm Market?
***This is a part time position working no more than 28 hours per week.***
The Barista is responsible for providing customers with the highest quality prepared food and specialty beverages to customers in a timely fashion. The Barista interacts with customers to ensure their needs are addressed promptly and in a friendly manner. Weekends are required
- Provides friendly and prompt service to customers and answers questions about menu items.
- Prepares a variety of specialty beverages (coffees, teas, etc.)
- Assist in preparation of food orders, and delivers orders to the customer.
- Rings up the customer’s purchases accurately, and receives payments via cash or credit cards.
- Prepares coffee (grinding, blending, etc.) for next shift.
- Opens and closes the store according to department guidelines.
- Maintains cleanliness of workspace during and after shift.
- Observes all health code and food safety requirements and organizational guidelines at all times.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Must be able to adhere to food and health safety standards
- Must be able to read, write and speak in English
