The Location:

The Organization:
Brushy Creek Municipal Utility District is home to 18,000 residents. Formed initially as Williamson County Municipal Utility District No. 2 in 1977, BCMUD provides water and wastewater services, recreational activities, beautiful gardens, parks, and miles of trails through the Brushy Creek community. BCMUD operates four swimming pools, four tennis courts, and a disc golf course throughout the community.
At the heart of our District is the Brushy Creek Community Center. Our Community Center features two gyms, two racketball courts, weight room, rock wall, and recreational programming, including various fun activities, educational and fitness classes.
Brushy Creek employs approximately 190 seasonal, part-time, and full-time team members.
Lifeguard:
Brushy Creek MUD is hiring Seasonal Lifeguards to ensure patron safety, enforce pool rules, assist with facility maintenance, and operate the District pools, fulfilling the purpose and mission of the Aquatics Programs.
Job Duties:
- Maintains alertness while observing patrons in and around the facility.
- Ensures the safe, effective, and efficient operation of pool facilities.
- Observes and enforce all facility rules and regulations for both team members and patrons.
- Responds quickly to all emergencies in and around the water, performing water rescues as needed.
- Records and report all accidents and incidents during shifts to Head Guards or the Aquatics Supervisor.
- Attends a minimum of four hours of in-service training per month.
- Inspects all equipment in the facility by following opening, mid-day, and closing procedures, reporting any repair or replacement needs to the Aquatics Supervisor.
- Maintains cleanliness of the pool area and communicates supply and equipment needs to the Head Guards or the Aquatics Supervisor.
- Addresses inquiries and complaints from the public professionally and respectfully.
- Lifeguards must demonstrate maturity, reliability, effective communication, and sound decision-making skills.
- Assists Shift Leads, Head Guards, or the Aquatics Supervisor with any other operational tasks as needed.
Minimum Requirement:
- Must have an American Red Cross Lifeguarding with First Aid and CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification.
