About the Outsourced Accounting & Advisory Services Team
Outsourced Accounting & Advisory Services is a highly specialized, organized team of chief financial officers, controllers, senior accountants, and bookkeeping specialists with years of experience working with small to mid-sized organizations, for-profit and non-profit.

About the Senior Projects Accountant Role
The Senior Projects Accountant supports the Outsourcing Accounting & Advisory practice by assisting with managed services assessments, client implementations and complex projects that enhance client experience. This role partners with leadership and operations teams to execute the firm’s three-phased delivery model and also assists with complex projects. In addition, the Senior Projects Accountant will also assist the Managed Services team with current client projects to improve service delivery, client relationship building and financial reporting. This role ensures technological platforms for current clients and future clients are best in class for their operations and financial reporting goals.
Essential Responsibilities:
· Assist and support the vision and strategy of the Outsourcing Accounting & Advisory leadership team for the Business Advisory and Projects function.
· Assist and support practice leaders with three-phased approach (assessments, implementation, and managed services), including other ad hoc strategic advisory projects.
· Ensure a smooth transition from Project function to Managed Services.
· Assist in the implementation of approved technology solutions (e.g., General Ledger systems, AP automation, POS) and process improvements.
· Prepare and review financial statements, reconciliations and supporting documentation for accuracy and compliance.
· Apply innovative thinking to enhance internal controls and operational efficiencies, support client staff through training and improve processes and reporting by leveraging technology platforms.
· Support and develop the strategy around financial models, business plans and forecasting tools for clients in exit planning, acquisition mode or future strategic thinking.
· Support the overall day-to-day management of financial reporting accuracy and on-time processing of client information and real-time reporting.
· Assist the execution of the team’s audit approach methodology to month-end close process and financial reporting.
· Prepare balance sheet and income statement reconciliations to supporting documentation and/or subledger data.
· Review general ledger for missing transactions and/or trends in the data to ensure accuracy of financial reporting on a monthly and annual basis.
· Exhibit knowledge of compliance reporting and expectations.
· Communicate with client leadership team and Board.
· Produce financial reporting packages on a monthly or quarterly basis.
· Assist the Client Accounting & Projects Manager(s) with audit and tax preparation for client(s).
To be successful in this role, you will bring with you:
· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred; equivalent combination of education and relevant experience may be considered.
· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; ability to travel to client sites as needed.
· 3-5 years of accounting experience
· Experience in outsourced accounting, advisory or public accounting roles preferred
· Proficiency with cloud-based accounting solutions and integrated technology platforms, such as QBO, Sage Intacct, Fund Ez, Net Suite, Workday etc. (implementation experience).
· Experience with month-end close, reconciliations and financial statement preparation
· Experience with AP, AR, payroll and general ledger
· Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
· Experience supporting financial reporting, audits and tax preparation with a strong focus on accuracy
· Knowledge of cash flow management, projections, budgeting and forecasting
· Strong understanding of internal controls and financial processes
· Strong computer skills with advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Products (Outlook, Teams, Planner, etc.)
· Familiarity with internal controls and process improvement methodologies
· Strong technical accounting expertise with attention to detail
· Ability to collaborate effectively with clients and internal teams
· Strong data and project management capabilities
· Ability to produce financial statements on an accrual basis
