Buddies Behavioral Services LLC

We have proudly provided comprehensive, individualized, Disability support to individuals and families since 2019.

We specialize in providing ABA therapy for individuals who have been diagnosed with Autism. We work with clients and their families to help them find solutions to the struggles they’re experiencing. Our clients receive customized behavioral support to meet their needs. We are passionate about what we do and love making a difference in our client's lives. We primarily work with children but may work with individuals of any age.

What is ABA therapy? Applied Behavior Analysis is a type of therapy that focuses on improving specific behaviors, such as social skills, communication, reading, and academics as well as adaptive learning skills, such as fine motor dexterity, hygiene, grooming, domestic capabilities, punctuality, and job competence. In other words, ABA Therapy focuses on identifying issues with an individual’s behaviors and/or learning skills and we work with them to better their behaviors and skills.

What you would do....

As a Behavior Technician, you will provide one-on-one support and behavioral intervention services to individuals with Autism and support to their families. You will practice under the close, ongoing supervision of a BCBA. Communicate and work with supportive administrative staff and great co/workers. RBTs work with clients in-home, in-school, in-clinic, and in the community. Behavior Technicians are responsible for implementing Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)-based programs as directed by the Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). As a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will follow the Behavior Support Plan provided, collect data, and keep daily session notes as well. Other responsibilities include:

  • Understanding and adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Consistently interpreting and accurately performing all assigned responsibilities.
  • Keeping a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and current auto insurance.
  • Observing confidentiality and safeguarding all patient-related information.
  • Immediately report any patient incidents, variances, or complaints to the BCBA.
  • Maintaining acceptable attendance status, per iBehave policy.
  • Keeping up appearance within iBehave standards: appropriate attire, clean, and well-groomed.
  • Demonstrating effective time-management skills
  • Maintaining a clean and neat work environment.
  • Demonstrating sound judgment, critical thinking, and decision-making.
  • Exemplary skills in self-management and communication.
  • Recording detailed session notes, keeping accurate client data in real-time, and maintaining well-documented records.
  • Keeping accurate appointment/session time data.
  • Adhere to other requirements outlined in RBT certification.

Training....

We require that you have already received your RBT certification and that you have at least 1 year of experience working with children with Autism offering ABA therapy. You will need to complete online training (about 40 hours) and do in-clinic shadowing with one of our skilled RBT’s (9-12 hours.) Once you are done with the initial training you will complete a verbal competency assessment with one of the BCBA’s and then can begin working 1:1 as a behavior technician.

We also provide BLS (Basic Life Support) training, Safety Care training, and other trainings throughout your employment. You must keep all your certifications current.

Pay....

Training and shadowing are paid at an administrative rate. Starting pay for a behavior technician is based on relevant ABA experience and education in a related field (Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.) We also offer drive time pay, mileage reimbursement, and monthly bonuses.

  • $15.25-$25.75/Hour Behavior Tech Pay
  • $18.75-$25.75/Hour Behavior Tech Pay (Bachelors in a related field)
  • $10/Hour Training and Administrative Pay

Requirements:

  • Master’s Degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Special Education, Psychology, or a related field (Behavior Analysis emphasis preferred).
  • 3-5 years of experience as a BCBA, demonstrating a deep understanding of behavior analysis principles and methodologies.
  • Excellent leadership, time management, and communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective collaboration and training.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and the capacity to work harmoniously within a team while following directions.
  • Successful completion of a background check, ensuring a safe and secure environment for all clients and staff.

Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations to assess individuals with developmental disabilities or autism spectrum disorder
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on applied behavior analysis principles
- Provide behavioral therapy and interventions to clients, including teaching adaptive skills and reducing challenging behaviors
- Collect and analyze data to monitor progress and make data-driven decisions
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including parents, caregivers, educators, and other professionals, to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Stay current with research and best practices in the field of behavioral health

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Consult and provide comprehensive training for parents, teachers, and community members, fostering a supportive educational environment.
  • Collaborate closely with all team members within the child’s educational sphere, ensuring a cohesive and effective approach to behavioral intervention.
  • Conduct client observations and functional behavior assessments, including in-depth functional analyses.
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of clients’ behavior intervention plans, ensuring individualized and evidence-based strategies.
  • Develop and implement skills acquisition programming tailored to each client’s unique needs.
  • Provide valuable feedback and supervision to Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs), nurturing their professional growth.
  • Collect, graph, and analyze data meticulously to drive informed decision-making and assess progress.
  • Demonstrate physical agility, responding promptly to situations, walking or jogging short distances, standing for at least 15 minutes, and lifting up to 50 pounds when necessary.
