Buena Vista University seeks a Director of Sports Medicine/Head Athletic Trainer to oversee athletic training room operations, sports medicine coverage for 21 varsity sports, and the care, prevention, and treatment of athletic injuries.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate injury and illness treatment by team physicians and other medical personnel as necessary
- Maintain complete, accurate, and detailed medical records
- Supervise associate/assistant athletic trainers and student interns
- Coordinate clinical assignments, practice, contest, and general athletic training room coverage
This is a full-time position with 8 weeks of agreed-upon time off. The university offers a generous compensation package, including moving expense stipend and five-year retention bonus.
The main campus is located on the shores of Storm Lake, a beautiful natural lake in northwest Iowa. Storm Lake offers a low cost of living and high quality of life, with an active business community and proximity to popular Midwest cities.
