Substitute Teacher

The Burlington County Special Services School District is seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with a passion for supporting students with unique abilities.

• High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities, particularly in an educational setting, is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing situations and be a team player.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Assist students with mobility, personal care, and other physical needs as required. (Not limited to feeding, bathroom use, toileting needs, and / or physical assistance).
• Requires lifting, positioning, pushing and lifting equipment necessary for care.
• Duties may require extensive standing and walking for extended periods.
• Duties require frequent reaching, stooping, bending, kneeling, and crouching
• Ability to lift and assist with the physical needs of disabled students when necessary up to 50 pounds at a time.
• Required NJDOE training including Safety Care Training and/or Behavior Intervention training.
  
  

Part time hours, up to 29 hours weekly, are typically during regular school hours based on district schedule in a classroom setting.
