As an orthodontic assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping our patients achieve their dream smiles and overall oral health. You'll work with our highly trained team, providing top-notch care and support to our valued patients. As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting our orthodontists with various clinical procedures. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting the orthodontist during procedures, such as bracket placement, adjustments, and appliance adjustments.
- Taking digital X-rays, intraoral scans, impressions for treatment planning and appliances.
- Educating patients on proper oral hygiene and care instructions.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and updating treatment charts.
- Contributing to the overall positive atmosphere of the practice by embodying a friendly and approachable demeanor.
- Preparing and maintaining dental instruments, equipment, and treatment areas for various procedures.
- Providing exceptional patient care, explaining treatments, and addressing any concerns or questions.
- Preparing treatment rooms and ensuring they are well-stocked and organized.
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on patient comfort and satisfaction.
- Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
- Energetic and enthusiastic about working in a team-oriented setting, and a willingness to learn and grow with the practice.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt quickly.
- Dental/orthodontic assisting experience preferred but not necessary. We are willing to train for the right individual.
