What are the responsibilities and job description for the Property Maintenance Technician (Ambassador Housing Village) position at Busch Gardens Williamsburg?
What you get to do:
This role is responsible for the upkeep, maintenance and general condition of the Ambassador Housing Village property. You’ll ensure that our Ambassador Residents have the best quality residential experience possible by ensuring all amenities are in proper, working order and in good repair. You will:
- Preventative maintenance; cleaning, prepping, and servicing equipment
- Maintenance and repair requests for plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Carpentry
- Renovation projects; repairing or replacing equipment or structures
- Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
- Performing inventory on equipment and supplies
- Cooperating with contractors
What it takes to succeed:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid Driver’s License
- Ability to meet company driving guidelines
- Knowledge of Plumbing, HVAC, Electrical, and Carpentry
- At least five years of maintenance experience
- Previous experience as a Hotel Engineer or Chief Engineer preferred
What else is important:
- Must be able to lift, push, pull and/or carry up to 70 lbs.
- Position engages in extensive walking and standing throughout entire work shift and climb/ascend heights, if needed
- Perform the following physical activities: kneeling, squatting, bend floor-to waist/waist-to-overhead, reach overhead, simple grasp and fine hand manipulation tasks (use of tools/keyboard/writing)
- Must be able to work indoors and outdoors, in varying weather, to include extreme heat. Position may be exposed to fumes, dust, odors, and cold/heat temperature extremes
- Perform cleaning duties, including use of cleaning chemicals
- Work a flexible schedule/hour based on business need, to include opening, mid-, and closing shifts, nights, weekends, and holidays
