Design Liaison Engineer
Job Location: Allentown, PA- ONSITE
Job Description
Design Liaison Engineer
- Partner with Global Supply Chain (GSC) and collaborate cross-functionally to drive continuous improvement and disposition hardware non-conformances while maintaining optimal quality for customers
- Support design for producibility, lean flow, and concurrent engineering
- Support hardware qualifications for new processes, process changes, and new equipment
- Apply knowledge of HGP design and manufacturing to implement ideas that enhance part functionality, reduce cost, and add value
- Participate in Supply Chain Kaizens and Lean Action Workouts
- Drive proactive quality engagement focused on defect reduction and process improvement
- Support qualification guidelines, specifications, and resolution of top manufacturing issues
- Contribute to technology development and qualification of special processes (castings, coatings, hole drilling, etc.)
- Foster teamwork, a positive working environment, and a strong sense of urgency around quality and speed
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
What Will Make You Stand Out
- Gas turbine engineering experience, particularly with hot section components
- Manufacturing experience
- Strong knowledge of lean manufacturing methods and statistical process control
- Experience with HGP components, including NX, GD&T, and ANSYS Classic
- Ability to build trust with team members and cross-functional partners
- Familiarity with advanced manufacturing processes
- Strong customer-focused mindset with a quality-driven approach
- Excellent teamwork, communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
