Position Title
Adjunct Instructor - Art Appreciation
Job Duties
Job responsibilities include preparing and teaching Art Appreciation classes for mostly non-majors. The instructor would collaborate with the Art faculty, Ed Tech, and the Faculty Development Team as needed to ensure continued success. This is a part-time faculty position, and the instructor could teach from one to three classes. Continued adjunct teaching is a possibility pending evaluation. Continued employment is contingent on adequate enrollment. Classes are assigned based on seniority, but teachers’ preferences are considered. Butler has a Master Course in Canvas, our online learning platform. Free training is required.

Qualifications
Required knowledge and skills
Teaching experience is preferred.
Required experience
18 hours of graduate level credit hours in Visual Arts (Studio, Art History, Art Education)
Required educational background
The successful candidate should have a master’s degree in visual arts or a related visual arts discipline.
