BW Papersystems is currently seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Materials Planner Scheduler to join our team. As a Materials Planner Scheduler, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating materials flow and production schedules to ensure the efficient operation of our machine shop.
Job Responsibilities:
- Collaborate closely with production leaders to understand project timelines and material requirements.
- Utilize your expertise to develop and execute effective materials planning and scheduling strategies that align with production goals.
- Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, tools, and components, and take proactive measures to prevent shortages or excesses.
- Coordinate with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of materials while optimizing costs.
- Create and maintain accurate records of materials transactions using manual and digital systems.
- Generate reports on materials usage, inventory status, and production schedules to support decision-making.
- Work closely with the procurement team to identify materials needs and assist in the sourcing process.
- Communicate effectively with cross-functional teams, providing updates on materials availability and potential delays.
- Use your problem-solving skills to address unexpected changes in production schedules and materials availability.
- Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the materials planning and scheduling functions.
