Job Summary
Immediate opening in a central Texas structural steel fabrication shop for a shop superintendent. We are seeking a skilled professional that possesses a strong desire to overcome obstacles and adjust to client’s demands while remaining focused and steady in delegation of duties. Must have ability to assess employee’s skill level and drive training to increase overall skill level. Must maintain a “safety first” mentality and enforce company policy appropriately.
- Understand steel fabrication shop drawings
- Extensive understanding of means and methods of shop fabrication
- Coordinate all operation of both commercial and industrial fabrication
- Monitor surplus material and order shop supplies
- Produce/review cut lists
- Troubleshoot plans and fabrication drawings and communicate with detailer to clarify issues
- Point of contact for equipment
- QC finished product for dimensional layout accuracy
- Track materials deliveries and shipments with assistance

Pay: $25.00 - $32.00 per hour
