Job Description:

The Warehouse Associate is the backbone of the company, necessary to keep daily operations moving smoothly, to maintain an organized warehouse, to fill customer orders and keep inventory levels up.

The Warehouse Associate will work directly with other Warehouse Associates to divide duties and help communicate priorities. The Warehouse Associate will also work with the Warehouse Manager and Executive Management on regular and special projects to achieve the goals of the company and support growth.

The individual must lead while juggling multiple priorities, work as a supportive team member, and work well with both long-term and short-term goals. The individual must also constantly strive for accuracy and improvement within the roles of the warehouse.

Role and Responsibilities:

• Complete assemblies including but not limited to hardware sets, zippers, finishing kits, and patterns to keep inventory levels up.
• Maintain quality of assembly work by double checking work, following recipes, and actively seeking input from superiors when necessary.
• Carefully use appropriate tools for completing work, including but not limited to rotary cutters, scissors, carts, rolling stairs, tape guns, box cutters, etc.
• Accurately pick/pack customer orders and accurately ship to customer addresses.
• Create accurate invoices, charge customers when appropriate, and make accurate entries/markings to document work completed.
• Answer stakeholder (customer/vendor/etc.) inquiries in person, via telephone or via email, in a friendly and timely manner and make reasonable efforts to respond to their requests. Follow up on items that are unresolvable without additional help and ensure that other appropriate staff members are involved to solve stakeholder’s issues.
• Organize stocks and maintain inventories. Inspect goods for defects, damages, and errors.
• Track inventory, assemble product, and restock as and when required. Communicate additional needs to purchasing staff as appropriate in a timely manner.
• Provide great customer & stakeholder service by accomplishing duties and additional duties as assigned in a supportive manner for all.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by keeping shelves and workstations neat, maintaining clean supply area, and complying with procedures, rules and regulations.
• Notify supervisors of problems or needs that are not resolvable without further assistance. Resolve all other issues at the warehouse level.
• Complete additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

This position is a warehouse position with regular requirements to carry boxes, organize inventory and complete physical work. The position also requires analytical ability, use of computers and good communication skills.

• Must be able to lift and carry 60lbs, continuously stand or walk, and bend, squat, and climb stairs.
• Must have experience with a computer
• Must be able to work independently and in a team setting. Must possess a strong ability to prioritize tasks, maintain calm in stressful situations, and be comfortable working in a constantly evolving work environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Be able to drive a trailer and have a good driving record
• Be able to drive forklift

Experience with Odoo accounting or other accounting system. Interest in sewing, crafts, digital art, social media, ecommerce or any other modern creative endeavor highly regarded. Ability to travel for work for one to two weeks at a time several times a year also highly regarded.
