Shift Type: Full-time, Day
Work Shift: Monday-Thursday 9:00am-6:00pm, Friday 9:00am-2:00pm
Total Weekly Hours: 40
Position Overview:
As a Social Media manager, you will have a strong background in the social media space. The ideal candidate is highly organized and a strong communicator who is a motivated, customer-facing social media marketing professional. You will help drive the social media strategy for various brands from consumer electronics to pet and personal care products, as well as oversee/implement campaigns along with our agency partners which include but are not limited to, managing the creation of campaigns, monitoring social trends, and reporting on the effectiveness of social media efforts.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assisting in creating social media strategies that coordinate with marketing, sales and R&D.
- Developing relevant content topics to reach the company’s target audience.
- Working with social media influencers.
- Creating, curating, and managing published content - images, videos, and written content.
- Monitoring and responding to users in a “Social” way while cultivating leads and sales.
- Developing and expanding community and/or influencer outreach efforts.
- Designing, creating, and managing promotions and social ad campaigns.
- Monitoring online feedback and respond in a timely matter.
- Analyzing and reporting on key metrics.
- Developing summaries that detail social media performance.
- Leveraging data learnings from reports to shape recommendations for the future.
- Compiling reports for management showing results.
- Advocating for the company in social media spaces, engaging in dialogues, and answering questions where appropriate.
- Monitoring trends in social media tools, applications, channels, design, and strategy.
- Implementing ongoing education to remain highly effective.
- Analyzing campaigns and translating anecdotal/qualitative data into recommendations and plans for revising social media and social advertising campaigns.
- Monitoring effective benchmarks for measuring the impact of PR and social media campaigns.
Qualifications
Required skills:
- 2-3 years of experience in a social media role.
- Ability to create content strategy that includes content development and publishing.
- Knowledge and experience with common monitoring and reporting tools for social media.
- Ability to create content in the social media space for specified target audience(s).
Education:
- BA or BS in Communications, English, Journalism or Marketing, equivalent work experience preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to lift 10-20 lbs, sit for extended periods of time, stairs, reach, twist, bend, stretch, climb, walk and/or run
Working Conditions:
- Must be a self-starter and able to work in an office setting
- Must be able to work in a fast paced and diverse environment
- Must be able to perform work duties when specified in-office or asked to do so remotely if necessary
Requirements:
- Must be 18 years or older and eligible to work in the US
- Must be able to read, write and speak English
- Must pass a Background Check
