Leads and directs the business development efforts of CG Schmidt to ensure that the Company is successfully strategically positioned to be awarded new work, an ongoing source of client revenue, and a positive company image in the community.

Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Assists in the development and implementation of the strategic sales plan and the department budget
- Identifies opportunities to perform additional business with existing clients.
- Develops and identifies prospects from current clients, referral leads and other sources
- Researches, identifies, and develops client contacts regarding potential new work through research, phone calls, “cold calls,” promotional literature, etc.
- Effectively utilizes CRM software.
- Develops and maintains relationships with existing and potential clients/owners
- Develops and maintains a strong industry network; participates actively in industry and civic organizations to promote corporate citizenship
- Uses contacts and experience to identify and source local partners to create opportunities to successfully win strategic projects
- Resolves problems with clients, monitors customer satisfaction
- Prepares, reports, and takes accountability for the new work forecasted
- Identifies new methodologies, technologies, and trends in the construction industry to keep the Company competitive in the marketplace, monitors competitors
- Assists in developing and improving the effectiveness of the department’s procedures
- Communicates and reinforces the Company mission, values, and goals
- Performs additional assignments as directed by the Senior Vice President
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications, or related field
- Minimum 5 years Business Development experience
- 3 – 5 years of A/E/C industry experience preferred
- Demonstrated ability to think ahead and plan over a two-to three-year time span
- Excellent communications skills (both verbal and written)
- Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
- Excellent “people” and “business” skills; strong customer service orientation; high energy level
- Intermediate computer skills
- Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with a wide cross section of individuals
Salary : $93,700 - $119,000
