CarePro Home Medical-Cedar Rapids has an immediate opening for knowledgeable and compassionate Respiratory Therapist to join our care-giving team!
In this role you will be responsible for educating and demonstrating the use of respiratory equipment to patients and monitoring their use and compliance according to prescribed provider orders.
This position is full-time with scheduled hours Monday thru Friday 8:30 am to 5:00 pm with an on-call evening and weekend rotation. Our ideal candidate will be dependable, detail-oriented, and seeking long-term employment and possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills.

Duties of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Following physician’s orders, meets with patients to dispense PAP Therapy equipment and supplies
- Provides support to ventilator patients through hospital discharge to home and ongoing support needs
- Assists with in-home patient visits and equipment set up
- Troubleshoots equipment and/or patient problems with respiratory equipment
- Conducts follow up calls with patients regarding their respiratory equipment
- Works with hospital discharge staff on patient training of equipment
- Consults with Physician when necessary
- Maintains patient's chart that contains pertinent identification and patient notes
- Completes required documentation promptly and accurately
- Inspects and tests respiratory therapy equipment to ensure equipment is functioning safely and efficiently
Qualifications: Must possess an active Iowa Respiratory License; 1 or more years of active therapy experience in a home setting is highly desired; strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and the internet required; comprehensive knowledge of therapy procedures for patients ranging from pediatric to geriatric; must have valid driver's license and be insurable.
