Position Description
Schedulers play a crucial role in our facility by tracking and scheduling the staff for the facility. As a Scheduler, you will support our nursing staff by ensuring the schedules are up to date and the facility is staffed appropriately. Duties and Responsibilities
- Utilize the online scheduling program to create staffing schedules for the Nursing Department that always assures adequate staffing levels per PPD guidelines.
- Review Nursing Template in online scheduling program for accuracy & revise as needed.
- Input new hire schedule in the online scheduling program.
- Utilize the online scheduling program to alert staff of vacant shift availability & assign staff to those shifts.
- Adjust staff & schedule as necessary in the online scheduling program to compensate for all call outs, vacation coverage, or any other unforeseen circumstances to ensure coverage of all units.
Qualifications
- Must possess, as a minimum, a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Must possess excellent computer skills & knowledge of spreadsheet software.
- Scheduling experience STRONGLY preferred.
