The ideal candidate will take ownership of fundamental accounting and project control responsibilities, working independently to ensure their successful completion.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general accounting duties, including the preparation and processing of project invoices, and the creation of basic reports.
- Engage in effective communication with customers and other internal stakeholders as necessary.
- Manage project costs throughout the project's lifecycle.
- Manage company staffing profile.
- Participate in project kick-off and ongoing meetings with the Engineering and Procurement, Teams to establish a shared understanding of project control requirements.
- Coordinate the collection, analysis, and reporting of project cost control data to assess overall project status and identify potential problem areas.
- Maintain project cashflows and forecast.
- Act as the custodian of the project budget, including forecasting final figures.
- Administer the project change control process and communicate the implications of any changes.
- Compile, analyze, and report CES financial data.
- Note that Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), and corporate accounting will be handled by other team members.
- Accounting Focused A strong foundation in accounting principles and practices is essential to perform general accounting tasks.
- Attention to Detail Given the need for accurate record-keeping and financial reporting, being detail-oriented is crucial in this role.
