Overview :
The California Center for Civic Participation (CalCenter) is dedicated to empowering communities through youth civic engagement, with a focus on creating opportunities for youth to influence public policies that impact their lives. We are a team of two seeking a passionate and motivated Community Impact Coordinator to enhance and expand our youth engagement and programming efforts.
Key Responsibilities :
- Youth Engagement and Programming :
- Design, coordinate, and facilitate youth-centered programs and workshops focused on civic participation and leadership.
- Collaborate with schools, youth organizations, and community partners to recruit participants and develop meaningful programming.
- Mentor and support youth participants, fostering their growth as community leaders.
- Community Partnerships :
- Build and maintain strong relationships with local organizations, government agencies, and community stakeholders to amplify program impact.
- Coordinate community events that promote civic participation and awareness among youth and their families.
- Program Development and Evaluation :
- Identify emerging community needs and recommend programming enhancements to address them.
- Develop tools to measure program effectiveness and regularly report outcomes to stakeholders and funders.
- Administrative Duties :
- Support the Executive Director and assist with broader organizational operations as needed.
- Manage program budgets, track expenses, and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
- Help develop and maintain the organization’s social media presence, including creating and scheduling posts to promote programs and events.
- Maintain detailed records of activities, participants, and program outcomes.
