Summary: The Family Resource Center Class Coordinator works with Class Instructors and Parent Support Services Manager to create class schedules and manage class enrollments. The Class Coordinator is responsible for greeting and welcoming guests, receiving and delivering all incoming packages, answering all calls and directing as needed, scheduling meetings, and coordinating office activities. This position works on-site at our Santa Rosa campus. The hours are weekdays 10:30am to 7pm. Saturday's are required and hours are 8:00am to 4:30pm. One weekday off.
Essential Duties:
Reception:
- Interface with clients and guests.
- Answer phones/transfer calls.
- Take payments/create receipts/reconcile cash.
- Manage room reservations.
- Provide administrative support to the Supported Visitation Program and New Direction School as needed.
Class Coordination:
- Create positive parenting class schedules and manage website posting & monthly newsletter.
- Provide technological and logistical support to class instructors.
- Assist families with class registrations and send out certificates of completion to parents.
- Other duties as assigned by Family Resource Center Manager.
Knowledge/Skills/Experience:
- Bilingual in English and Spanish.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills & organizational skills.
- Strong collaborator with team-oriented mindset.
- Knowledge of data collection and ability to learn new tools and strategies.
- Experience using Excel, Word, Google Drive, and Zoom. Airtable experience is a plus.
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize a variety of tasks and deadlines.
- Comfortable working with high risk, multi-challenged families.
- Knowledge and experience with working with a diverse population, utilizing culturally competent, strength-based strategies.
- Knowledge of child abuse issues, substance abuse disorder, trauma informed care and family dynamics.
- High school diploma or equivalent GED.
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Knowledge of Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) is a plus.
- Experience working with families in social services in a community setting preferred.
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift/ 40 hours a week
- Day shift
- Saturday required
- In person
- Weekdays 10:30am to 7pm
- Saturday 8:00am to 4:30pm
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 25 lbs (supplies) Prolonged sitting and working on a computer and telephone.
