What you'll be doing:
- Provide excellent customer service to Caltrol’s customers and vendors by entering and maintaining orders.
- Gather information, assist with quotations, expedite orders, and follow up proactively with customers.
- Assist in the preparation of customer documentation requirements. Consistently maintains technical competence with all aspects of Caltrol’s business systems relating to the processing of customer orders.
- Continuously improve knowledge of products and services offered by Caltrol.
- Provide Vibration Route Data collection.
- Study and perform vibration analysis on rotating machinery.
- Report findings directly to customers.
- Assist customers with problem resolution.
- Interact with customers to promote service contracts.
- Interact with customers, factory, and other Caltrol teams/departments to develop process improvement and increase customer satisfaction.
- Other duties as required.
What we’re looking for:
- Strong mechanical background in industrial machinery.
- Valid Driver's License and a clean driving record.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Computer skills (MS Office and other PC products).
- Home-based high-speed internet with home office space.
- Ability to understand and safely use standard hand tools.
- Verbal and written skills to effectively communicate.
- Professional appearance and presentation while onsite at customer facilities.
- Emerson CSI is a plus.
- Additional PdM Technology Certifications are a plus.
- No vibration analysis training is required, but to obtain level 1 certification within one year (at the expense of Caltrol).
Hiring Range:
The hiring range for this position is $25 - $30/per hour. This is the pay scale range Caltrol reasonably expects to pay for this position at the time of this posting. The base pay actually offered will take into account internal equity and may vary based on geographic region, skills, qualifications, and experience of the candidate, along with the requirements of the position.
Work Environment/Travel:
- This employee will primarily work from a home office.
- Ability to travel daily to customer sites where environments will vary.
Physical Demands:
- Physical abilities include climbing ladders, climbing towers, working in confined spaces, working on elevated platforms, and lifting devices.
- When visiting customers, sites will be loud, may be warm in summer or cold in winter, and will include both indoor and outdoor sites.
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
