Sterile Processing Supervisor

Job Overview
We are seeking a Supervisor for the Central Sterile Processing Department to oversee and manage the sterilization and disinfection processes for surgical and reusable medical equipment. This position ensures departmental compliance with safety, infection control, and regulatory standards, and is responsible for daily supervision of sterile processing operations and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Central Sterile Processing department.
• Ensure effective cleaning, sterilization, and disinfection of medical and surgical equipment.
• Supervise and support Central Sterile staff, fostering a safe and efficient work environment.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory, accreditation, and infection control standards.
• Provide training, retraining, and in-services for departmental staff.
• Collaborate with Infection Control, Risk Management, and Safety departments.
• Monitor and manage supply inventory, patient charges, and manufacturer/FDA recalls.
• Lead initiatives in staff development, team building, and quality improvement.
• Demonstrate flexibility in shift start/end times as needed for supervisory duties.
• Float to other units within the scope of practice as required.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of sterile processing experience.
• Minimum 1 year of supervisory/leadership experience in sterile processing.
• HSPA (formerly IAHCSMM) Certification
• BLS Certification (AHA)

Job Type: Contract

Pay: $2,000.00 - $2,050.00 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Day shift

Experience:

• Sterile processing: 3 years (Required)
• Supervisor Sterile Processing : 1 year (Required)

License/Certification:

• BLS Certification (Required)
• HSPA (Required)
